Medical coverage
One of CVZ’s tasks is to advise the government on the contents of the statutory package of insured care. CVZ also acts as a repository of factual knowledge for health insurers and other parties who may be unclear about whether a given form of care is insured or not.
AWBZ-compass
The Exceptional Medical Expenses Act (AWBZ) regulates the rights (often long-term) to medical treatment, nursing and personal care.

The Health Insurance Act (Zvw) regulates the general outline of the right to medically necessary care.
